Trades Union Congress - London - WC1Apartment Conversion The conversion of office space to facilitate a 200mē contemporary apartment was successfully completed on the 3rd floor of a Grade II listed building. The contract administrator was Arup's and the architect Hugh Broughton Architects. Partitioning was installed to divide the area and the new walls housed secret lighting, concealed doors and bespoke storage. A hand made kitchen with beech curved doors and stainless steel worktops were installed. The wet room had mosaic tiling from floor to ceiling, glass walls and a limestone vanity unit. A shadow gap detail was incorporated to form flush skirtings and doorframes with the detail being carried through to all joinery. All existing walls were plastered, new water and electrical services installed and solid oak flooring throughout. The apartment windows were overhauled, secondary glazing fitted and 25mm Venetian blinds installed. This project was completed on time and within budget. |
